Our Mission
Improving Depression Care
The University Depression Study Group consists of a small group of academic researchers devoted to studying depression in an effort to improve the care that people living with depression receive. Our work is made possible through funding from the National Institute of Mental Health.
The UDSG team includes medical professionals, social scientists and statisticians. Toward this end, our team utilizes qualitative methods (such a focus groups and cognitive interviewing), survey research methods, and random controlled trials.
Our team members come from several of the nation's top universities, including the following:
- The University of California, Davis (UCD)
- The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF)
- The University of Rochester (UR)
- University of Southern California (USC)
- University of Texas at Austin (UT)
- University of Washington, Seattle (UW)
- Clark University
